The National Performing Arts Centre in Kaohsiung's Wei-Wu-Ying Metropolitan Park will soon become a beautiful reality. On March 23, the Council for Cultural Affairs' (CCA) Preparatory Office for the National Kaohsiung Per forming Arts Center awarded the first prize of the international design competition to Francine Houben, director of Mecanoo architecten in the Netherlands, and to the joint tenderer Taiwanese architect Lo Hsing-hua.
