Under the guidance of the famous actor of Beijing Opera and Kungu Opera Li Guang-Yu, the 59th annual performance of the Chinese Opera Club, NTU brings you three marvelous Zhezi plays (opera-drama sketches): Tale of the White Snake - The Trip to the West Lake: a piece about Bai Su-Zhen and Xu Xian first met when he borrowed her umbrella. It was love at first sight. A Desirable Match - Teaching Fly-cutter : a piece about the happiness of a young married couple inside their bedroom. The husband learns how to “shoot fly-cutter” from his wife. The interaction between the male and female actors and the tightly connected lines make it particularly interesting.

Focus: The Romance of the Emperor is an interesting piece background sat in one of Emperor Zhen-De’s informal inspection. The emperor teases the girl whenever possible and the girl is shy and slightly angry by his behavior. It is a piece that requires great skills of singing, narrating and acting.
