This free workhop about Liyuan Dance is organized by Wei-Wu-Ying Center for the Arts and Han-Tang Yuefu Ensemble. Created in 1983 by acclaimed nanguan performer Chen Mei-o, Han-Tang Yuefu has established itself as a pioneer in the revival of both ancient nanguan-style music and liyuan (or pear orchard) – style music and movement. The troupe consistently produces works which artfully combine the ancient and modern, mesmerizing audiences in major operatic venues throughout Asia, Europe and America.
Age/gender of applicants： females from 15 to 40 years old
Experience: applicants with dance experience are preferred
Applications received after the 14th of January 2009 will not be considered
20 people will be chosen from the audition
Time of audition：17th of January 2009 15:00-17:00（Please prepare 3 minutes of performance, not only dance and / or music）
Location of audition：Preparatory Office of the Wei-Wu-Ying Center for the Arts, Performing Hall 281
Time of classes：9:30-17:00 from 18th of January to 22th of January 2009,
Time of presentation of workshop：19:00, 23th of January 2009 19:00

1：Please dress in casual clothes, Hantang Yuefu will prepare costumes for all of the performers.
